Shopping (Open)

Selenity Belmont stepped into the mall. She had some spare time and she was bored. A perfect excuse to come and spend money on her dorm. She was going to make it really feel like it was her home. She was going to do the best that she could not to shame her family. Granted the public story as to why she was transfering was that her family wanted her closer to home. The real reason... well.. she was not going to repeat that. Her father and mother had been very disappointed in her. She couldn't let them down again.

She tucks a stray strand of her white blonde hair back behind her ear as she began to walk around. Deciding to get a layout of the mall first. That way she would make her decisions as to which stores she would go to and then she'd go and view her purchases. She'd of course have them delivered if they were to large for her. She was certain most stores offered that and she was sure that if they didn't she could offer them enough that they would surely find a way to deliver. Or worse comes to worse she'd call a moving company and offer them twice their normal rate if they'd come and help a weak young lady like herself out.

One thing Selenity had learned is that money was power. If you had enough of it, you could ensure things worked out. Though she may take advantage of this when shopping she would never go as far as some of the other girls she'd known. Some of the girls in her former boarding school were far worse than her little harmless relationship with her teacher. They actually partook in buying men's affections... the more intimate ones. Selenity shook her head of the thoughts, looking around she realized she'd wandered lost in thought, she was now unsure of where she was at in the mall.

The thumping bass of Richards music could easily heard by those who passed by him. Normally he didn't listen to his music this loud, but today was an exception. He had received an abnormally large amount of money from his parents with one explicit instruction: spend it on whatever. He wondered what the special occasion was. His dad must have gotten a pay raise, or had inherited money, or won the lottery, or a number of other different reasons. He didn't ponder over it for very long, and had decided to immediately go to the mall. Already he spent some of it on a couple new books, which he held in a small bag.

What next? There was so much that he could get with what he had left over, he began to feel overwhelmed. His breath started coming in rapid breathes, and he had to take a moment to calm himself down. Why should I spend it all in one day? he thought, I already have what I really needed, is there anything else? Probably not, but let's browse around a little more and see what we can find, shall we?

As he was walking, he paused upon seeing a young woman. Naturally, the first thing that caught his eye was her breasts. He felt himself blush slightly as his mind began to wander, and he quickly turned his head away, and began thinking cold thoughts. He took another look, and noticed that the woman was lost. From how she was dressed, it looked like she also attended Whisper Hollow, but he couldn't go up to her and straight up ask her, now could he? Well, maybe, but he wasn't going to do it anytime soon. He debated this in his mind, and decided that he would just stand there, hoping that the woman didn't notice him. He turned down his music, just in case.

Selenity sighed as she gazed around once more. She realized after a few moments she was trying to get her bearings on a place she'd never been before. She shook her head, her long white blonde hair flowing like silk. When she looked up she noticed a music store and a clothing store were right in front of her.

"Hmm... if only I was here shopping for clothes today... there are a couple of bathing suits in that store I'd like to try on..." Selenity trails off. She shakes her head then turns sharply.

As she gazes around she spots a furniture store of some sort down at the end. Smiling wide she begins to walk towards it. As she began to pass Richard she heard his music still, though she had no idea he had turned it down and looked to him as she says, speaking a little louder than she normally would, "You could very well blow your eardrums out if you put it to much louder."

She gifts the boy with a small smile.

Oh crap, oh crap. She's coming toward me. Think Richard Aquarius Diagon XXIII, what would DJ Tiesto do! he thought, his breath start to increase its pace. He knew that he had to speak carefully, lest the girl think him strange or odd, or otherwise un-dateable, and at the moment he didn't want to leave her with that impression.

"Yeah, I know. It's why I don't do it very often. Today's an exception. I think my parents won the lottery or something. They sent me quite a bit more money then they usually do. Either that or their doing dealings with the Mafia," Richard said, smiling back. He liked seeing her smile. He paused his music and took the earphones out before he continued talking, "I noticed you seemed to be a little lost. Would you like some help finding your way around the store?" He hoped that she would say yes.

Selenity smiles warmly then laughs softly. Her laughter was almost bell like and her violet eyes held mirth in them as he spoke about the Mafia and his parents coming into a bit of extra money. "Well, let's hope that your parents won the lottery or they both got a raise or something other than illegial dealings with the Mafia."

She noticed him taking out the earbuds and pausing his music before offering to help her. She smiles widely now as she says, "I just transferred to Whisper Hallow Academy so I don't know the area at all. I came here to get furnishings for my dorm if you'd like to help me in my search I'd be very much appreciative and I'm sure I can make it worth your while."

Selenity knew exactly just how flirtatious that sounded but at the moment she didn't mind. Yes he was a boy but she did have to look up to talk to him. She guestimated that he was about 4 to 5 inches taller than she was. "So do you know any good stores, I think I should start with bedding.... oh and a bed of course will be needed..."

She can't help but grin a little bit as she turns looking around, gazing at him through the courner of her eye to gauge his response. So she was playing a little bit with the boy... that was okay wasn't it?

She has great eyes, he thought as he stared down at her. It also appears that I was correct in thinking she goes to Whisper Hollow. Which means that I'll be able to see her more often, which might lead to dates, which might lead to.....Hold up Richard, take it one step at a time. First, let's help the fine lady find what she needs.

"Beds, yes, of course," he replied, his face redding a little. "Well, there's a Sleep Number outlet just around the corner there, if that's your style. There's also that furniture store right down there. It's got a pretty good selection, but personally, I think the best place to go for beds is Ikea. Too bad there's not one close. It's my favorite place to go to. I got my bed and my mattress from there, and I haven't had many complaints. Want to start there first, or the Sleep Number? Oh, and I'm Richard, Richard Diagon. I also go to Whisper Hollow," He stuck out his hand.

Selenity smiles to him, noticing his face reddening a bit. She wondered if he was looking down her blouse at all but he seemed to actually be gazing into her eyes. She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear before placing her hand within his own.

"Selenity Belmont, I'm a junior there, and yourself?" Selenity says softly.

"Hmmm... perhaps you will show me later to somewhere where I might be able to order online then if the furniture store doesn't have what I'm looking for. The Sleep number should be next and I can look for a mattress there... I might ask your assistance in flopping down on the beds. I hope to have sleepovers with good friends sometimes. I do enjoy hosting gatherings and such." Selenity says with her ever present smile and a twinkle in her eyes.

"I'm a sophomore, or squishmore, as some of the seniors like to say," Richard said, beginning to walk down towards the furniture store. "I can do that, but you have to go to Ikea yourself sometime. One of the best things about it is that their carts can go around in circle. I mean, each wheel can swivel. I always push the cart sideways. And the food is delicious, all from Sweden."

As he listened to her talk, he began to notice that there was a slight accent to it, as if she belonged to the lauded gentry, or just the rich upperclass. It wouldn't surprise him if she was: there seemed to be plenty of rich folk at the Academy. Should he ask about it? It would just be friendly, getting to know a fellow classmate and all.

"Sure, I'd be happy to. I've never quite tried a Sleep Number before, even though I've had ample opportunity to do so before. Hmm," he said, pondering on the fact.

"Anyway, mind if I ask what brings you out here to the Academy?"

Selenity nodded her head as he spoke. So she'd been right he was a 'boy'. She smiles as she listens to him talk about Ikea and how the carts can go in a circle due to swiveling wheels. She wasn't sure but couldn't are carts with wheels swivel? Though the food did sound intriguing.

She smiles as he says that he'd be happy to and then he seemed to drift off into thought only to ask her about how she came to the Academy.

"I was at an Academy in England and then my father had some business in America that was going to keep him rather busy here for awhile so he transferred me from Twilight Angel's Academy here to Whisper Hallow Academy. He wanted me to be close to him and my Mother." Selenity answers with a small smile.

Even to her the lie sounded genuine. So much practice in saying it and practicing response to many follow up questions until her answers were smooth in delivery. Not to mention adding in the proper amount of emotion in each. Her mind drifted to her French teacher and for a moment she felt rather sad. She had known it would end eventually, no one could really stay with their first love, but how it ended. Not to mention finding out that she was just to be another notch in his collection. Her French teacher had made a bet with a friend as to how many virgin's he could get while working at her school. She wasn't the first he'd romanced. Luckily he hadn't gotten as far as he'd wanted but she couldn't hate him. Apart of her still loved that man. Her expression betrayed her sadness though she seemed lost in it for a moment as she went on autopilot just about walking with Richard towards the furniture store.

England. He had always wanted to go there, a little. His mother used to talk about visiting England occasionally, and from what she said, it sounded like a pretty swinging place. The people, the culture, the sights. In his mind, England was a venerable wonderland, terra incognita. But, if she's just here while her dad is taking care of business, doesn't that mean that she'll be heading back to jolly ol' England once dad is through? Such a serious question required an answer.

"If your father's just here on business, won't that mean you will be going back with him? Or will you stay here and finished your studies?" he asked.

Richard noticed that they at the entrance of the furniture store. He stopped just before he entered, and turned toward her, waiting for an answer before he showed her around inside.

Selenity smiles warmly as she shakes her head and says,[color=violet] "No, I'll finish my schooling here. My father thinks it is good for me to experience other ways of life. My elemetry school and middle school boarding was spent in England. I spent some time in France for high school. Originally it had looked like my father was going to go to Japan so I spent some time learning customs."[/color]

Selenity came to a stop beside Richard when he stopped outside the furniture store and instantly her eyes began to scan the store. Assessing the products inside that she could see from a distance.

"Well, that's good. Constantly changing schools just wrecks havoc on a person. I wouldn't know, I've always just stayed in one place for all of my life, never moved. Although there was the semester I spent with the gypsies for a research project..." Richard said, his mind beginning to wander again. He grabbed it by the horns and brought it back to the matter at hand: helping find furniture.

"Well, it seems we've arrived. Let's go take a look, shall we?" he said, leading the way inside. "I'm not sure what your choice in furniture is, but I'm fairly sure that this store might have what your looking for. Out of all the places I've been this seems to be the most diverse. I once saw a bed that looked like something out of a science fiction movie. I came this close to buying it, but knew that it would lose its allure pretty fast. Instead I went with something pragmatic and cheap. So far I haven't had any trouble."

Which wasn't entirely true. Sometimes he would wake up and have pretty bad back aches that lasted the day. They happened rather infrequently, so he never made a fuss with the store about it. He usually avoided making a fuss unless he really had a problem with something.

Alex walks down from the large entrances. Not wearing her coat/jacket today due to the warm weather, she is wearing her halter neck red dress. She as she walks, looking around at all the shops yet she doesn't not enter any.

The reason she's out today is because she didn't want to be cooped up in her dorm, putting her life work into the material, making fashion. Everyone needs a break at some point right? So here she is, this is here taking a break from the hard life of Alex.. Well not really hard life, pretty easy going actually. Lately she's been bored to stiff and had no company ether.

Selenity smiles to Richard as she enters the store with him, "I like rich dark wood. Or perhaps something victorian. I'm not sure, though I'm sure i'll know it when i see it."

She looks to him for a moment as she says, "What was it like with the gypsies?" That was an interesting topic to her. She clearly expected him to expand on the topic as she cast a critical gaze on the furniture before her. Her discerning eye categorizing the furniture, disgarding what she felt was junk and putting the remaining into categories of like, love, and has potential.

Alex stops walking and looks at the shop next to her, her shoulders sink heavily. 'Why me...' she thinks. This shop she's standing out of was purple and fancy, formal swish writing, branding it 'The Material Shop.'

Alex's body turns to face the shop crossing her arms over her chest with a slight pout, almost like glaring at the shop and the big sign that had white words and red background on the window saying 'SALE'

Alex's head falls in defeat. 'Typical the day I go window-shopping. Theirs a sale on.' She sighs in defeat to sitting down on the bench in front of the store. Why did the owner of the shop, just had to rub it in huh? Sale... This is probably the worst thing they could do to a fashion student, when it came to window shopping. Putting sales on... She could just look on not buy right? She sighs yet again. Who was she kidding, she'll by something anyway from that shop.
